The way on how to repair cedar siding depends on the specific siding damage. Generally, if there’s a hole, we’ll remove the existing paint and rot. Next, we’ll sand it and add wood filler. Finally, we’ll sand it again to make sure that everything is even.

If a couple of boards are damaged, we may take off those sections of the wood and remove any caulk, nails, etc. Then, we’ll create a new board or boards using the dimensions of the damaged area we removed. Next, we’ll put the new board in with nails, and add caulk and primer.
